COVID-19 Centre Update
Friday 3 December 2021
In line with the Government announcement, Dress Smart Christchurch will operate under the new traffic light system ‘Orange’ (also known as the COVID-19 Protection Framework) from Friday 3 December, 10am.
Our normal trading hours are:
- Monday – Sunday: 10am–5pm
We have extended hours for Christmas. View them here.
The health and safety of our customers, retailers and community is most important to us and we will continue to follow the latest Government guidelines as they come through. Alongside Government requirements we have put extra precautions in place to ensure that the centre is a clean and safe place to shop. This includes enhanced cleaning with a key focus on high traffic areas, hand sanitiser stations in main thoroughfares and additional signage to encourage safe shopping. As we continue to navigate through these uncertain times, we thank you for supporting us along the way and look forward to seeing you.
What does ‘ORANGE’ mean for Dress Smart Christchurch?
- Customers and staff aged 12 or older must wear a face covering (unless medically exempt)
- Scan the QR codes on display
- Please stay home if you are unwell
My Vaccine Pass is an official record of your COVID-19 vaccination status for use within Aotearoa New Zealand. The traffic light system (COVID-19 Protection Framework) requires you to show your Vaccine Pass to access some services. For more information on Vaccine Passes visit the COVID-19 website.
In line with Government Requirements for ‘ORANGE’ some stores require Vaccination Passes:
Vaccine Passes are not required to visit Dress Smart Christchurch and general retail stores within.
Vaccine Passes are required to purchase food/drinks and sit and eat in designated eating areas. Our food operators will request to see your Vaccine Pass before serving you.
All food operators at Dress Smart Christchurch require Vaccine Passes. This includes:
- NZ Natural Ice cream
- Sushi Express
- The Coffee Club
No eating is permitted on comfort seating areas.
Close Contact Businesses – Beauticians and hairdressers
Reduced Store Capacity
Retail may open with capacity limits based on 1m distancing (not including workers). This means the maximum number of people who could occupy the space if each person was 1 metre apart. People do not need to stand 1 metre apart.
You may have to wait longer than usual to get into a store due to reduced capacity. Please follow staff directions and signage for queueing areas.
Please note that customer entry into the centre may be limited to enable a safer shopping experience.
What else is available under ‘ORANGE’?
- Kiddie rides
- Mobility equipment
- Comfort seating areas – under ‘ORANGE’ no eating is permitted on comfort seating areas
- Hand sanitiser is available around the centre and our cleaners are continuing with enhanced cleaning throughout
When you visit us next, please be mindful that retailers and staff are navigating through these uncertain times too.
